About The Position

Lakeside 50 is a 20-bed Telemetry unit that admits patients with various medical diagnoses, some of whom have become increasingly unstable during their clinical course. The nurses on this division are competent in Telemetry interpretation and are privileged to administer some cardiac drugs that are considered high risk for general med-surg units. Our staff work in a fast-paced setting with high stakes. Straight day shifts and straight night shifts are available.

Requirements

Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
1 year of RN experience required
Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
Refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation for specific duties and responsibilities.
Abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
