About The Position

The Mother/Baby Department offers a supportive team environment and family atmosphere, with a strong shared governance structure featuring unit-based councils that empower nurses to shape their work environment. The department also utilizes new and advanced equipment and technology.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
3 years of Mother-Baby/Postpartum experience strongly preferred
Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
3 years of Mother-Baby/Postpartum experience strongly preferred
