About The Position

Wilson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Medsurg unit. This role supports the Health Support Center (HSC) team, which in turn supports hospital staff interfacing with patients. The Med Surge unit has 22 beds split across two floors, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5/6. The unit provides care for patients with conditions such as dialysis, diabetes, heart disease, geriatric patients, and recovering surgical patients.

Requirements

• Current state RN license
• Nursing degree from an accredited program
• BLS and ACLS required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year RN experience preferred
• Compassionate nurse with an ability to provide expert and compassionate care to a diverse patient population with various medical conditions while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
