About The Position

Wilson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their 22-bed Med Surge unit, which is split onto two floors. The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5/6 and is staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Patient Sitters. They provide care for a variety of patients including those on dialysis, diabetes, heart disease, geriatric patients, and recovering surgical patients. As a member of the Health Support Center (HSC) team, you’ll support those in our facilities who are interfacing and providing care to our patients and community members to positively impact our mission of making communities healthier ®.

Requirements

• Current state RN license
• Nursing degree from an accredited program
• BLS and ACLS required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
