About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical (Telemetry) Full Time Nights Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work hours: Full Time Nights 7p- 7a - Weekend and holiday requirements. Medical Surgical Department highlights: 22- bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. 1:5 RN: patient ratio, 1 PCT for every 10-11 pts. Experience as preceptor and/or charge nurse highly preferred. Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process. Assesses the patient. Plans the care of the patient. Intervenes as appropriate. Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions. Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information. Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers. Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice. Strong Unit Based Council (UBC). Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program; nursing diploma
1 year experience as a registered nurse or completion of a RN residency program req
RN Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
Experience as preceptor and/or charge nurse highly preferred
