About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical (Telemetry) position is a Full Time Nights role at Texas Health Plano. This role involves delivering care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care. The nurse will also incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures, initiate actions to meet patient information needs, and maintain continuity of patient care between shifts and transfers.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program; nursing diploma
- 1 year experience as a registered nurse or completion of a RN residency program req
- RN Nurse Upon Hire Required
- BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Experience as preceptor and/or charge nurse highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
