About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit within a high-acuity hospital setting. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The RN will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Minimum 18 months PERMANENT Med/Surg Telemetry experience (non-negotiable)
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with telemetry monitoring strongly required
Nice To Haves
- ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate (must pass during orientation)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Perform patient assessments, documentation, and care planning.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, safety standards, and quality measures.
- Complete accurate documentation using designated systems.
