About The Position

As a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, you will be an integral part of our Interdisciplinary Team, working alongside PCTs, educators, unit secretaries, and other support professionals. Your care and treatment of our patients will be a crucial part of their overall experience. Many of our Med-Surg/Telemetry units are paired with specialties to focus on patients' specific needs based on their diagnosis. We offer various unit specializations including Telemetry/Step Down, Clinical Decision Unit, Telemetry/Oncology, Telemetry/Cardiac, and Medical Surgical/Telemetry/Orthopedic units, providing diverse patient populations and opportunities for skill development and career growth.

Requirements

One year of recent acute care RN experience is required.
RN Diploma, ASN required.
PA RN license OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact OR able to secure PA licensure (including temporary) prior to start.

Nice To Haves

Telemetry RN experience preferred.
BSN preferred.
Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care and treatment as part of an Interdisciplinary Team.
Care for diverse patient populations with varying diagnoses.
Work with patients from the ER and develop a range of skills.
Educate patients on self-care and post-procedure recovery.
Participate in hospital and system-wide Nursing Committees, Unit Councils, and employee resource groups.
Engage in evidence-based research projects.
Precept new staff.
Advance on the clinical ladder.
