About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical (Telemetry) position is a Full-Time Nights role at Texas Health Plano. This role involves delivering care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse will also incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures, initiate actions to meet patient information needs, and maintain continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program; nursing diploma
- 1 year experience as a registered nurse or completion of a RN residency program req
- RN Nurse Upon Hire Required
- BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Experience as preceptor and/or charge nurse highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
