About The Position

Christiana Care Health System is seeking an experienced RN to work 24 hours per week on the 5D unit at Christiana Hospital. This is a 35-bed medical telemetry inpatient unit that serves as a stroke overflow unit, accommodating a variety of diagnoses and ages. The unit also partners with CCHP (Christiana Care Hospitalist Partners) by cohorting their patients. The role involves working night shifts, with weekend and holiday duties as per department guidelines. The typical shift is 7 PM - 7 AM.

Requirements

• Current Delaware RN license or eligibility for Delaware RN license
• 1-2 years med/surg experience preferred
• BLS required

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• Commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
• Telemetry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a medical telemetry inpatient unit.
• Manage stroke overflow patients.
• Care for patients with a variety of diagnoses and ages.
• Collaborate with CCHP hospitalists.
• Work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
