About The Position
5D is a 35-bed medical telemetry inpatient unit located on the 5th floor at Christiana Hospital. We are a stroke overflow unit that also encompasses a wide variety of other diagnoses and ages. We have a partnership with CCHP (Christiana Care Hospitalist Partners) by cohorting their patients on our unit. We are currently seeking an experienced RN to work 24 hours per week, Night shift at Christiana Hospital. Weekend and Holidays per the guidelines of the department. Typical shift is 7p - 7a.
Requirements
- Current Delaware RN license or eligibility for Delaware RN license
- BLS required
- 1-2 years med/surg experience preferred
- Telemetry experience a plus
- Excellent partnership within and across disciplines
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Ability to anticipate the needs of others with compassion and generosity
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients on a medical telemetry inpatient unit.
- Manage stroke overflow patients.
- Care for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and ages.
- Collaborate with Christiana Care Hospitalist Partners (CCHP) for cohort patients.
- Work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as per department guidelines.
