About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Stepdown unit specializing in intermediate cardiac care. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care for individuals with cardiac and complex medical conditions requiring continuous monitoring and advanced nursing interventions.
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License
- AHA BLS Certification
- AHA ACLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent Stepdown, Progressive Care (PCU), or Telemetry experience
- Strong cardiac monitoring and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient care abilities
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- NIHSS Certification preferred
- Previous Charge Nurse or Preceptor experience
- Experience caring for stroke patients
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide care for patients with acute MI, cardiomyopathy, CHF, cardiac arrhythmias, and other cardiac conditions
- Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms continuously
- Administer medications, blood products, infusions, and specialized treatments
- Manage central lines and advanced infusion therapies
- Care for patients requiring Bi-PAP, C-PAP, and A-PAP support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and disease management
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to patient safety standards
