About The Position

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Frye Regional Medical Center is an 8-bed unit known for its exceptional teamwork, supportive culture, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Requirements

• Current state RN license
• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Two years of ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
