About The Position
Lerner Tower 5 is a Medical Cardiology unit that cares for high-risk cardiac conditions. It is a 30-bed unit where employees support each other personally and professionally. Common diagnoses include: Fluid Volume Overload, Acute Myocardial Infarction, Atrial fibrillation, GI Bleed from anticoagulation, and Acute on Chronic Heart Failure.
Requirements
- 1 year of RN experience required
- Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
- Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation
- Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
- Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
