About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Med/Surg unit in Elmhurst, NY. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, supporting post-operative recovery, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
- Active RN License (State of New York)
- AHA BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience (within the past year)
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, IV therapy, wound care, and post-operative care
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Nice To Haves
- AHA ACLS Certification
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide direct bedside care to medical and post-surgical patients
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, IV insertion, and catheterization
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or adverse reactions promptly
- Operate and monitor medical equipment as required
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams on treatment and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
- Follow established clinical protocols and nursing standards
