About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute or post-acute care settings and be confident managing pre- and post-surgical patients while adhering to established nursing standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution
- Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
- AHA BLS Certification
- AHA ACLS Certification (required for select locations)
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide direct bedside care for pre-operative and post-operative patients
- Administer medications and treatments; monitor for adverse reactions
- Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care
- Monitor and interpret vital signs and telemetry data; escalate concerns as needed
- Operate and manage specialized medical equipment
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in EMR systems
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care coordination and discharge planning
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and healthcare regulations
