This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Inpatient Administration department, working 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts with rotating weekends. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The role also involves continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, administering medications and treatments, demonstrating effective communication, pursuing professional development, and adhering to ethical practices. Appropriate delegation to other nursing staff and accurate EHR documentation are also key components. The nurse may be required to float to other units to meet patient care needs and must demonstrate age-specific knowledge and skills.
