About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Registered Nurse on the Medical/Surgical unit (C3). The unit is a 27-bed facility that handles common diagnoses such as sepsis, cellulitis, gastrointestinal bleed, pneumonia, diabetic complications, and medical management pre- and post-liver transplant. The care team includes physicians, social workers, case management, and pharmacists. Care standards include bedside shift report, meaningful hourly rounding, and interdisciplinary care team rounds. The unit offers experience with wound vacs, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and various other diagnoses. The position involves evaluating assigned patients and planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care. The nurse will deliver excellent nursing care to a diverse patient population with complex concerns, perform patient tests, administer medications, and promote patient independence by teaching patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care skills. The role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
PA Registered Nurse License

Responsibilities

Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
Delivers excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
