About The Position

This is a full-time night position for a Registered Nurse on a Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit (6 South). The unit has 34 beds and primarily treats patients with diagnoses such as COPD, Pneumonia, Diabetic Ulcer, Pancreatitis, Abdominal Pain, ESRD, and altered mental status. Nurses on this unit will gain experience with various medical devices and procedures including drains, wound vacs, central lines, NGT, DHT, and general surgical care. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe and therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. It also requires using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
At least 6 months required experience to come in outside of the New Grad residency program.

Nice To Haves

1 year of inpatient nursing experience preferred.
