About The Position

The Registered Nurse will evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care. This role involves delivering excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns. The nurse will perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice. Additionally, the role promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care skills. The position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The unit, R3E, is a 42-bed Adult Med/Surg unit providing care to adult and geriatric medical patients. It collaborates closely with Hospitalist physicians and the Hildreth Teaching Service Residents. Patients are commonly admitted for a multitude of different medical diagnoses, including infections, COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, gastrointestinal complications, substance abuse withdrawal, and diabetic complications.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
PA Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse License
