Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg Neuro Stroke
About The Position
This is a Full-time Registered Nurse position on the 5 Pine unit, a 32-bed Telemetry Med-Surg unit specializing in Stroke and Neuro adult populations. The unit also has 2 EMU designated beds for monitoring Seizure/Epilepsy patients. The team is high-performing, practices nursing autonomy, and utilizes best practices and policies to provide excellent patient care. There is an active Unit Practice Council that drives process improvement with team member input. The unit strives for a cohesive team environment focused on engagement, patient satisfaction, and continuous learning and growth.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new grads
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
