Registered Nurse (RN) -Med Surg Cardiac
About The Position
The 3 Palm Med/Surg Cardiac Telemetry Team is a unit with 36 private beds that cares for patients with a variety of medical issues including mild cardiac issues, COPD/other pulmonary diseases, antibiotic therapy, diabetes, liver conditions, pneumonia, renal failure, and more. They also care for patients awaiting or recovering from surgical interventions, including orthopedic surgeries, bowel surgeries, and other general surgical interventions. The team also sets up and runs Peritoneal Dialysis for patients throughout the hospital. The team emphasizes mutual support, teamwork, and a personal connection with each patient, viewing them as individuals with stories rather than just room numbers.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- At least 6 months of RN experience.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
- Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills.
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
