About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long Term Care (LTC) setting in Seward, Alaska. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to residents in a close-knit, community-focused environment. The RN will support chronic disease management, promote resident well-being, and ensure a high standard of care in a low-volume facility.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care (LTC) experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience
  • Experience managing higher patient ratios (1:20)
  • Strong clinical judgment and time management skills
  • Comfortable working in a rural or remote setting
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
  • Active Alaska RN License (must be in hand)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Alaska Food Worker Certification (can be completed during orientation)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to LTC residents (approx. 1:20 nurse-to-patient ratio)
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
  • Monitor resident conditions and respond appropriately to changes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
  • Support residents with chronic illness management and daily living needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using ECS charting system
  • Educate residents and families on health conditions and care plans
  • Ensure adherence to facility policies, procedures, and safety standards
