About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) II in the Labor & Delivery department at Texas Health Rockwall. The role is full-time, requiring 36 hours per week with three 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am), including weekends and holidays. The department offers a supportive team environment, a strong shared governance structure, and new, advanced equipment and technology. New hires will need to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington for the first 1-5 days.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire
  • NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire
  • IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within 2 years of hire
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
  • STABLE Program completion recommended
  • AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring course completion preferred
