About The Position

This is a full-time night shift position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery department at Texas Health Rockwall. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, supporting a healing environment, and engaging with patients and their families. The department offers a supportive team environment, a strong shared governance structure, and advanced equipment and technology. The position requires the nurse to be available for training at the corporate office in Arlington during the initial days of hire.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire
  • NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
  • STABLE Program completion recommended
  • AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring course completion preferred
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within 2 years of hire
