About The Position
As an IR Nurse you play a critical role in educating patients and families about procedures, expected outcomes and post procedural care. You help reduce anxiety in providing guidance on recovery and improve patient compliance. It's a different setting, but a unique one where you learn handling specialized equipment including imaging technologies like X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound. Sound intriguing right? Requirements
- Valid license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing in Louisiana.
- American Heart Association BLS-HCP.
Responsibilities
- Educating patients and families about procedures, expected outcomes and post procedural care.
- Reducing patient anxiety by providing guidance on recovery.
- Improving patient compliance.
- Handling specialized equipment including imaging technologies like X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound.
