About The Position

This PRN position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Interventional Radiology Department at Canyon Vista Medical Center. The department fosters a culture of teamwork and effective communication. The RN will perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care. Responsibilities include documenting patient care, monitoring and communicating patient condition, assisting patients with daily living activities, collaborating with other disciplines for patient care coordination, and evaluating patient and family learning needs. The RN will also act as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
Must have an active Arizona or Compact RN License.
BCLS required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.
One year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
