About The Position

This is a full-time night position for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Texas Health Plano. The hospital is a 386-bed, full-service facility serving North Texas, specializing in various areas including emergency medicine, cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, women's services, behavioral health, and advanced surgical services. Texas Health Plano is a Level II Trauma Facility, holds Level IV NICU and Level IV Maternal facility designations, and has a DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Program. It is a four-time Magnet-designated hospital, features the only AACN Beacon Gold adult intensive care unit in the DFW area, and is accredited by the Joint Commission in Hip and Knee Replacement. The ICU unit itself is a 30-bed, self-scheduling unit dedicated to the care of critically ill patients, with an intensivist program providing 24-hour physician guidance and a team of critical care nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants trained in critical care medicine.

Requirements

Diploma Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing required.
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Req
One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon—prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support –Within 90 days of hire Required
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days Required

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
ICU experience strongly preferred
