About The Position

The Registered Nurse for Inpatient Wound Care will provide consultation and coordination of care for patients requiring wound care assessment, management, and treatment. This includes care related to skin, wounds, ostomies, pressure sores, and incontinence. The role involves collaborating with nursing staff, medical staff, and other healthcare providers to establish and execute policies, procedures, and standards of care for wound management patients. The position is located at the Edgewood, Kentucky location.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed.
BSN or currently enrolled in BSN program.
Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
Basic knowledge in current skin, ostomy and wound care practices.
Understanding of the organizational structures of the hospital, its policies and practices.
Able to be self-directed and highly motivated.
Minimum requirements of 3 years current clinical experience in an acute care facility.
Prior experience in skin, ostomy and would care clinical practice/management.

Wound Care Experience is preferred
