About The Position

Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse (RN) at University Hospital in Madison, WI. This 90% FTE position involves 8/10/12 hour shifts, Monday - Friday, with on-call responsibilities including weekends and holidays. Hours may vary based on departmental needs. You will collaborate with highly qualified providers and technical staff, utilizing state-of-the-art technology. The role involves patient care in various modalities such as procedure prep and recovery, Interventional Radiology (Body and Neuro), Ultrasound, MRI, and Musculoskeletal. You will be part of a team engaged in evidence-based therapies and research studies, contributing to quality improvement initiatives and practice change. The position emphasizes a culture of teaching and learning, encouraging staff to understand the 'why' behind problems and solutions.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire
  • Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
  • Relevant RN Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory experience
  • ACLS certification
  • Relevant certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in various modalities including procedure prep and recovery, Interventional Radiology Body, Interventional Radiology Neuro, Ultrasound, MRI, and Musculoskeletal.
