We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a team of remarkable nurses that use compassion and advanced critical thinking skills to care for adults suffering from complex acute illnesses on this 28-bed unit. This unit also serves as our Special Pathogens Unit. The RN will provide care for acutely ill patients, including those with pneumonia, COPD, congestive heart failure, acute and chronic renal failure, cellulitis, gastrointestinal bleeds, liver failure, diseases of addiction, diabetes mellitus, COVID, and altered mental status. The role involves being part of cutting edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and leading practice change. The unit has a culture of shared governance and empowerment where each member of the team has a voice in their clinical and professional practice.
