About The Position

The Infusion RN provides intravenous treatment and nursing care at Centerpoint Health - Winchester, a member of the UK Markey Cancer Center Affiliate Network. The role includes administering medications and other clinical treatments, collecting specimens, documenting care, monitoring and communicating patient condition, assisting with activities of daily living, coordinating care across disciplines, and educating patients and families. The position is PRN and works day shifts; clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a requirement to work four shifts in each six-week period.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in nursing.
• Current Kentucky RN state licensure or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate the patient’s condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual or psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate the learning needs of patients and families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
