About The Position

Franciscan Health is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse for its Outpatient Center at the Lafayette East Campus. Nurses provide comprehensive care by listening to and assessing patients, developing plans of care, implementing and reassessing those plans, and evaluating each patient’s needs. The Outpatient Center has 14 infusion rooms and 13 procedure preparation and recovery rooms. Services include infusions, injections, wound care, and preparation and recovery for interventional radiology, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and pain management procedures.

The available PRN schedule includes 12-hour shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and shifts from 7 a.m. to noon on weekends. Travel is never or rarely required. Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing/Patient Care.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state licensing board in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Travel is never or rarely required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing/Patient Care.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association, if required by the unit.
• Franciscan Alliance unit-specific certifications, if required by the unit.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association, if required by the unit.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics, if required by the unit.

Responsibilities

• Listen to and assess patients as part of comprehensive care.
• Develop, implement, reassess, and evaluate each patient's plan of care.
• Provide care in an outpatient center offering infusions, injections, wound care, and preparation and recovery for procedures.
