About The Position

Lowell General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its ICU-1 unit. This 12-bed Intensive Care Unit provides care for both medical and surgical critically ill patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, hematologic, OB, gastrointestinal, renal, vascular, and multi-system conditions. Patients may require advanced support such as hemodynamic or respiratory support, close hemodynamic monitoring, or intensive nursing care, potentially involving devices like IABP, Impella, lysis, EKOS, TPA, hemodialysis, CRRT, PA lines, or 24-hour EEG monitoring. The ICU staff receive ongoing bedside and classroom training, with new nurses utilizing AACN’s online training program ECCO for onboarding. The unit's goal is to deliver high-quality patient care to every ICU patient. Requirements

  • Critical care experience required
  • Able to read and interpret Tele strips independently
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • RN candidates must be able to use electronic based charting systems.
  • Valid BLS and ACLS required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN strongly preferred
  • Associate’s degree in nursing may be considered.
  • Must enroll in BSN within year
  • specialized certifications preferred
  • CCRN review courses
