Registered Nurse (RN) ICU/Intermediate Care Unit
About The Position
Become part of Essentia’s accomplished team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota. These cities are located 125 miles north of Minneapolis and are at the heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area, one of the state’s top vacation destinations, known for its 465 lakes providing endless options for water sports and recreation. This position will work 60 hours per pay period, with every third weekend rotation and 12-hour shifts, either Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) or Overnight Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Requirements
- BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
- At least 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience.
- Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year.
Responsibilities
- Organize and deliver comprehensive care by managing all phases of the patient care process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Act as a team leader by delegating care responsibilities to nursing staff based on their licensure, training, and role specifications.
- Play a crucial role in advancing the facility’s and Essentia’s mission and goals, making a meaningful impact on the community we serve.
- Adhere to the standards set by the Joint Commission and other relevant federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
- Provide continuous assessment and monitoring of patients in critical conditions, utilizing advanced technology and clinical judgment to respond swiftly to changes in patient status.
- Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients in the ICU/Intermediate Care Unit.
