About The Position

This position involves providing nursing care to critical care patients in the ICU/CCU, including planning and communicating patient and family education, participating in unit-based educational activities, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation consistent with practice and hospital policy. Community Memorial Health System, established in 2005, is a community-owned, not-for-profit organization comprising Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura and Ojai Valley Community Hospital, along with a network of primary and specialty care health centers across west Ventura County. The health system is dedicated to serving its communities without corporate or government backing or shareholder obligations.

Requirements

Current CA Registered Nurse License
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification (OVCH Only)
Six (6) months of recent full-time acute care ICU/CCU experience in an acute care hospital
Successful completion of Stroke/Sepsis Education competency within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
