About The Position

This role involves essential functions for a Registered Nurse (RN), including systematic assessment and reassessment of patient healthcare needs, tailored to specific age groups and patient conditions, with involvement of patients, families, and other healthcare providers. The role requires nursing diagnosis and outcome identification, analyzing assessments to determine these, again involving patients, families, and other healthcare providers. Implementation and coordination of care are key, providing nursing interventions to achieve goals using professional judgment based on evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy. Evaluation of patient outcomes is critical, utilizing critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge to identify problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions. This includes evaluating discharge needs related to the plan of care and utilizing resources as needed. Professional practice is also a component of the role.

Requirements

  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
  • New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Responsibilities
