More about our team Our 7 bed OR services include specialties in general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology, ophthalmology, oral/maxillofacial, podiatry, pain management, ear/nose/throat (ENT), and gastroenterology. Surgical services include pre-admission testing, prep & recovery, operating room, central sterile reprocessing (CSR), and endoscopy/GI.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to take call shifts
  • RN license in state of KY or compact state
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
  • BLS, withing 7 days of hire
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Meets the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural and needs of the patient and family.
  • Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team as appropriate about changes in the patient’s condition or response to treatment.
  • Completes a focused patient assessment with reassessments Based on patients’ condition, procedures, medications given and treatments.
  • Adequately assesses and reassesses pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
  • Performs patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and specific needs.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and the patient’s clinical condition. Follows the 6 rights of medication administration to reduce the potential for medication errors.
  • Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
