About The Position

The House Supervisor responsibilities include the management of the Nursing Department and the direction and supervision of hospital wide nursing activities on his/her designated shift. Administrative decisions utilizing knowledge of hospital policies and nursing standards. Knowledge regarding social, economic and legal issues affecting the healthcare System. Seeks opportunities for keeping up-to-date in healthcare practices Develops, directs, implements and ensures compliance with Standards of Nursing Practice that promote optimal healthcare delivery. Meets the Joint Commission Standards for Nursing. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Associate's Degree in Nursing plus 5 years of RN experience may be considered in lieu of the BSN requirement)
  • A minimum of three years of recent nursing experience during which administrative and supervisor competence has been demonstrated
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree is preferred
  • One year management experience preferred
