South Sound Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor to join their team. This role is instrumental in ensuring the seamless delivery of patient care, adhering to established standards, mental health practices, and hospital policies. The RN House Supervisor will actively contribute to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, and engage in educational and Performance Improvement initiatives. Leadership on the assigned shift will impact patient care and overall hospital performance. The position involves assessing patients' physical and psychological conditions, utilizing the nursing process, and upholding a safe therapeutic environment. The RN House Supervisor will oversee and ensure staff adherence to standards of care, mental health practices, and hospital policies, while also leading and contributing to performance improvement initiatives. They will provide supervision, leadership, and direction to nursing staff, evaluate program effectiveness, formulate improvement plans, and implement changes. Coordination of staffing schedules based on patient needs and maintaining legal processes for patients are also key responsibilities. Ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and regulatory standards, as well as developing, updating, and evaluating treatment planning effectiveness are crucial aspects of this role. Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, documenting patient information, and reassessing changes in patient condition are also required.
