The RN House Supervisor provides administrative and clinical leadership for all acute care nursing units during off-hours. This role is the primary decision-maker for hospital-wide operations, ensuring that staffing levels match patient acuity and that "patient flow" (admissions, transfers, and discharges) is handled efficiently to prevent bottlenecks in the Emergency Department. The RN House Supervisor will coordinate hospital-wide bed management, determine appropriate placement for patients based on level of care, adjust unit staffing in real-time based on fluctuating patient volumes and acuity scores, serve as the first responder and coordinator for Rapid Response Teams and Code Blues across all acute care floors, act as the on-site administrative representative to resolve immediate concerns between patients, families, and physicians, and monitor units for compliance with The Joint Commission safety standards and hospital policies.
