Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS is required upon hire.
- PALS is required within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities
- Provides nursing leadership for an assigned shift by supervising and mentoring staff, managing staffing levels based on patient needs and acuity, and ensuring safe, high-quality care.
- Assists with direct patient care and problem-solving as needed, including taking patient assignments.
- Supports staff with necessary equipment and resources and integrates evidence-based practices into clinical protocols.
- Addresses patient care concerns, coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers, and contributes to performance improvement initiatives.
- Conducts chart audits, supports staff development, and fulfills preceptor requirements.
- Collaborates with nursing leadership on reports, projects, and regulatory compliance.
- Serves as a resource in the use of the EMR system.
