The best career is right here. St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse, Admission Nurse for the Hospice unit located at the Edgewood, Kentucky location. Shift: 9:00 am - 7:30 pm. Hours: Part-time, 20 hours weekly. The best career is right here. Provision of admission services to potential patients and families consistent with the goals, definitions, philosophy, and purpose of the St. Elizabeth Hospice. Provision of the initial assessment and physical assessment for all patients being admitted to St. Elizabeth Hospice. Identifies and coordinates initial medication and equipment needs and completes the initial plan of care for all admissions. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors, and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • If eligible, must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence.
  • Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed.
  • Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Demonstrates advanced assessment skills appropriate for home care environment.
  • Ability to function independently.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • 2 years of RN experience in a hospital or care facility setting.
