About The Position

Hartford HealthCare is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) and Graduate Nurses (GNs) for their Neurosurgery units at Hartford Hospital. Hartford Hospital is a leading tertiary care teaching hospital, recognized as a Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Comprehensive Cardiac Center. The hospital is at the forefront of medical technology and care, featuring advanced simulation training and the Northeast's largest robotic surgery center. The position is also eligible for the Ayer Neuroscience Institute Neuroscience Nurse Developmental Fellowship program.

Requirements

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• ASN Required (Must obtain a BSN within 6 years of starting in the RN role).
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the Neurosurgery units.
• Participate in the Ayer Neuroscience Institute Neuroscience Nurse Developmental Fellowship program.
• Complete Nurse Residency program with clinical instruction and learning opportunities.
