Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing
• licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan
• ability to move up to 30 pounds in order to transport supplies/equipment and to move or position clients
• Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license
• current automobile insurance
• the use of a vehicle during work hours, including for the transport of clients
• Must meet THIRD PARTY REQUIREMENTS as THIRD PARTY insurance may be billed by this position, in accordance with professional scope of practice

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor, acts as a client advocate in the Person-Centered Planning process regarding health issues; will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing/health plans of developmentally disabled clients; ability to perform professional nursing tasks and case consultation with prescribers/psychiatrists; performs related work as required.
