About The Position

Under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor, acts as a client advocate in the Person-Centered Planning process regarding health issues. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing/health plans of developmentally disabled clients. The position requires the ability to perform professional nursing tasks and case consultation with prescribers/psychiatrists, and performs related work as required.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan.
• Ability to move up to 30 pounds in order to transport supplies/equipment and to move or position clients.
• Must meet THIRD PARTY REQUIREMENTS as THIRD PARTY insurance may be billed by this position.
• Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Must have current automobile insurance.
• Must have the use of a vehicle during work hours, including for the transport of clients.
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours.
• Ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances, as well as to perceive depth and spatial relationships.
• Ability to receive and respond to verbal communication.
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis.
• Ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%.
• Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, or reach to perform work tasks.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment.
