Work location: Texas Health Southwest – 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132. Work Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift. Department Highlights: Central Staffing department for 222-bed facility, MAGNET facility, Level III Trauma Center, Primary Stroke center. Enjoy self-scheduling to help with work/life balance. Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support - within 90 days of hire Required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire Required
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support – required for ED Neighborhood within 90 days of hire Required
  • NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood 6 Months Required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • assesses the patient
  • plans the care of the patient
  • intervenes as appropriate
  • evaluates the effectiveness of intervention
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
