About The Position

The Float Pool Team Frye Regional Medical Center provides direct day-to-day care of a variety of patients and families in multiple units. Requirements

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, and NIH are required within three months of hire.
• Two to Four years of Critical Care experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct day-to-day care of patients and families.
• Practices to the fullest extent of employee license in accordance with organizational policies.
• Under the direction of the Nurse Director, functions as a member of the Float Team to implement the patient’s plan of care.
• Provides population-specific care and meets the developmental needs of populations served.
• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
