About The Position

This position will float to the Rapid Response Team within the Float Pool Department. The Float Pool Department offers the opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team, provide life-saving care to ill patients, and work with a diverse patient population. The department also offers self-scheduling for work-life balance and opportunities for educational and career growth.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma in Nursing or Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program
  • 1 year of ICU experience
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program for staff floating to areas where they will be delivering care and resuscitating neonates required within 90 days of hire
  • NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program For staff floating to areas where they will be delivering care and resuscitating neonates required within 90 days of hire
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year of ICU experience strongly preferred
