About The Position

Texas Health Rockwall is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) II for their Emergency Department. This is a full-time evening position requiring 36 hours per week, with three 12-hour shifts from 10 am to 10 pm, including weekends and holidays. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, responding to basic human needs, and fostering a healing environment. The Emergency Department is characterized by engaged leadership, a supportive team, and advanced equipment. The hospital, Texas Health Hospital Rockwall, has served its community for over 15 years and is recognized for its comprehensive services and commitment to patient care, earning a CMS Five-Star Rating and ANCC Pathway to Excellence® designation.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course preferred upon hire
